Visitors are welcome with restrictions at some locations

During cold and flu season, we’re committed to preventing the spread of infection to our most vulnerable patients.

Locations with restrictions include:

  • Hospitals
  • Emergency departments
  • Rehabilitation units and facilities
  • Skilled nursing facilities
  • Behavioral health locations
  • Inpatient hospice
  • Infusion centers
  • Certain cancer areas including bone marrow transplant clinics

Restrictions:

  • Visitors with respiratory symptoms should not visit the locations listed above.
  • Children 12 and under should not visit the locations listed above, except healthy siblings visiting newborns in labor and delivery with a caregiver.
  • As an exception, children may visit skilled nursing facilities. Other exceptions to visitor restrictions may be made in special cases if the child is symptom-free and receives approval from the care team.
  • We ask that visitors at these locations wear masks in areas where direct patient care is provided and in waiting areas.

Masking Information

Masks are optional for patients, visitors and care teams with the following exceptions:

  • To help protect our most vulnerable patients, we ask that visitors wear masks in all locations with restrictions listed above, including direct patient care areas, waiting areas and areas with posted signage.
  • Patients with respiratory symptoms should wear masks when outside their rooms.
  • People should wear masks in high-risk patient areas as indicated by signage.
  • Patients may ask providers, care teams and anyone who works for Atrium Health Levine Children’s to wear a mask during their visit.

Visiting Hours

  • Information Desk: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • General Visiting Hours: 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • The Pavillion:
    Monday through Friday: 5 p.m.-8 p.m.
    Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • The Children’s Hospital: 9 a.m.-10 p.m.
  • Mother-Baby: 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

Critical Care Units

  • STICU (Surgical Trauma): 5-6 a.m.
  • NICU (Neuro): 10 a.m.-noon
  • CVICU (Cardiovascular): 4-6 p.m.
  • MSICU (Med-Surg): 8:30 p.m.-10 p.m.
  • Pediatric Intensive Care Unit:
    Closed for visitors between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
                      Closed for visitors between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
                      No visitors after 10:30 p.m.
  • Intensive Care Nursery:
    (Acute Side): 8-10 a.m.; 12:30-6 p.m.; 8 p.m.-6 a.m.
                      (Non-Acute Side): 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Except on Tuesday for discharge
                      rounds from 10-10:30 a.m. and 8 p.m.-6 a.m.

Cellular Telephones

Cellular telephones are prohibited in all Medical Center patient care facilities because of the potential risk of electromagnetic interference to our patients. Cellular phones should be turned off before entering the hospital. Be sure your phone is turned OFF, and not just in standby mode.

Wireless Internet (Wi-Fi)

Patients and visitors within the campus of Atrium Health Levine Children’s may connect to the internet and their email while here, using the hospital’s free wireless internet.

Smoking

The Medical Center is a smoke-free hospital.
This means you, your family and your visitors will not be able to smoke inside any of the hospital buildings. There are areas set aside for smoking outside the hospital. Your nurse can direct you to the areas.

Visitor Dining

Visitors are welcome in our Dining Room. It is open from 6:15 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. You may call our “Hunger Hotline” at extension 1140 for daily cafeteria selections. Click here for more information.

Gift and Goodie Cart

Our Auxiliary operates a gift cart which is available for the convenient sale of gift items, snacks and toiletries. Floors one, two and four are serviced in the mornings and three through nine in the afternoons. All profits are used for the benefit of the patients and The Medical Center.

Hospital Police

Don’t take chances! The hospital police officers are on duty around the clock for the protection of our guests, employees and hospital property. They can assist with special parking needs and are happy to assist with escort service to automobiles or our Guest Accommodations. They are not available for this service from 10:30 p.m. to midnight when they are assisting our staff during shift change.  To contact the Security Department from within the hospital dial “0” to reach the hospital operator.

Mail Center

Located in the West Tower near elevator “A”, you may purchase stamps and mail letters Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Overnight, certified and priority mail service is available.

Graves Pharmacy

Open daily until midnight and offering free citywide delivery. Located in The Medical Center Doctor’s Building, 770 Pine Street, Suite 100. MasterCard, Visa and American Express accepted. Call 478-745-0476.

ATM

An automated teller machine (ATM) is located on the first floor in the main lobby and is accessible 24 hours a day.
