During a youth football game last year, Bryan was hit by another player’s helmet. After days of pain and inconclusive tests, Bryan’s mother, Vanessa, brought him to Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital. A biopsy revealed Bryan had rhabdomyoscaroma, a rare form of cancer usually found in children. He began a successful 27-week process of chemotherapy at the Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital, which he successfully completed in August 2019.
Today, Bryan is an energetic 5th grader who is regaining his strength every day!
