While Quishawna was pregnant with her first child, Aubrey, she experienced high blood pressure throughout the first 30 weeks. She was put on bed rest with the goal of making it to 34 weeks, but at 32 weeks, Aubrey was born weighing just over 3 pounds. Unable to eat on her own, Aubrey spent the first three weeks of her life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NNICU) at the Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital. The specialized care she received while in the NNICU helped Aubrey gain weight and strength that allowed her to go home.
Today, Aubrey is a healthy, active toddler who is now a big sister!
